I am a host, journalist, and podcast creator, best known for the technology podcast Link. I worked at the daily newspaper SME for 10 years, where I contributed to the digital subscription strategy, launched newsletters, and helped introduce podcasts. I co-founded skpodcasty, the largest database of Slovak podcasts, and I am also involved in organizing the Podcast of the Year awards.
In addition, I help media organizations around the world with digital strategy and create content at FatChilli for Publishers.

Adam Rafajdus

The Future of MedTech & AI “Made in Slovakia”

I studied Information Systems at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies at STU, where I focused on artificial intelligence research and its applications across various scientific fields. After graduating, I specialized in applying AI to biotechnology and biometric projects.

In 2022, I joined Powerful Medical, where I was responsible for training, deploying, and maintaining AI models in the cloud. Since 2023, I have been leading an AI team focused on developing and clinically validating certified AI solutions, with a particular focus on cardiology—specifically the digitization and diagnosis of ECG recordings. Under my leadership, the team collaborates closely with physicians to create solutions that directly address the needs of clinical practice, particularly in acute cardiac care.

Jakub Goda

When Technology Meets Geopolitics: How to Defend Against Hybrid Threats

I am a publicist and expert in online communication. I led online communication for the Ministry of Health during the coronavirus pandemic, worked as part of President Zuzana Čaputová’s team, and previously worked in advertising. I am the recipient of a Journalism Award for a series of blog posts. I have long focused on disinformation and the functioning of social networks.

I studied at the Faculty of Management at Comenius University in Bratislava and later studied philosophy, political science, and economics at the University of York in the United Kingdom.

I am dedicated to finding effective solutions to a wide range of problems. Programming and software design offer endless opportunities to meet this challenge. As a programmer and later as a technical architect, I have worked in several software companies from Prešov to Bratislava to London. As a Toptal developer, I have contributed to numerous international projects in the US, Canada, Germany, and Ireland.

I co-founded the Prešov branch of the Eastcubator coworking space, organized WebElement community lectures in Prešov for several years, and actively supported the startup ecosystem in eastern Slovakia. Seven years ago, I co-founded the Cequence project, where I continue to work today.

I focus on strategic communication and artificial intelligence. As CEO and co-founder of elv.ai, I lead a team developing tools for moderating online content, helping brands protect their reputations in the digital space. My work has been recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the startups and technology category.

Previously, I worked as an account director at New School Communications. I speak at conferences on AI and combating online hate speech, and I am a member of together.eu as well as an ambassador for EDYN. Forbes magazine has recognized me as one of the 12 key figures shaping the future of Slovakia and as one of Europe’s most promising young entrepreneurs.

I am a Senior Research Fellow at GLOBSEC. Since 2016, I have conducted research at the Center for Democracy and Resilience. I am the author of numerous analyses on hybrid threats, the impact of information operations and social media on democratic societies, and strategic communications. Previously, I have worked for Transparency International Slovakia and the European Commission.

I am an experienced programmer and IT architect, responsible for key projects of the innovation team, including the Bratislava Account and the PAAS mobile parking app. Within the organization, I have advanced to Director of the Bratislava Digitization Section, overseeing innovation, data, network infrastructure, and technical and application support. In my free time, I teach business data at FMFI UK and FHI EUBA.

Since 2022, I have been working at SOFTEC, focusing on DevOps and Cloud.

Among other things, I am interested in the implementation of DevOps processes and tools, for example through products such as a DevOps framework. At CODECON, I will share with the community the successes and challenges associated with developing the DevOps Framework.

I am a Senior Research Engineer at the Kempelen Institute for Intelligent Technologies, focusing on new methods in deep learning. My work includes natural language processing models and enhancing neural network transparency through explainability techniques.

I lead initiatives to improve the technical excellence of research engineering and develop research computing infrastructure. I have participated in and led several industrial collaborations and research projects, including creating a pan-European platform for researchers and facilitating technology transfer from AI research to various industrial sectors.
