Lukáš Čulík has been navigating the video game industry for over 15 years. He joined the fast-moving Pixel Federation team shortly after its founding as a QA tester. Over time, his creative ambitions led him into design, and he began actively developing his own game concepts. After leaving Pixel, he is now fully immersed in the trenches of game development with a 2D hand-drawn action platformer called CRAVE.

From my first year of high school, I started working at WEZEO, where I spent two years as a web developer. Later, I moved to WEZEO Addventures, the parent company, as a Co-Founder Associate, where I had the opportunity to participate in some of the group’s largest investments.

This journey has given me a unique perspective — from the technical side of software development to the strategic decisions that shape a company’s direction. As a result, I have gained practical insight into how technology companies can effectively invest in both internal and external projects.

I am a Generative AI Developer with a background in XR (VR and AR) technology development. While I initially focused on XR, I have since moved into projects in the field of generative artificial intelligence. I have been with Accenture since 2021 and currently concentrate on generative AI projects. I studied Intelligent Software Systems at STU FIIT in Bratislava.

I am a co-founder of the startup sommify and a PhD student at FIIT STU, where I combine research with practical application. I focus on natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), web scraping, and data mining—fields where I aim to make a real impact. My strength lies in not only researching new technologies but also actively applying them in product development.

Tomáš Kramár is the founder of the startup Luigi’s Box, which operates across Europe, delivering solutions for some of the most prominent names in global e-commerce. While you may not have heard of Luigi’s Box, if you shop online, you have almost certainly interacted with its services.

Pavol Eliáš is an experienced manager with a proven track record in building and leading geographically distributed, innovative software development teams. Since 2018, he has served as Senior Vice President, SDC and EMEA Customs at Descartes Systems, where he oversees the company’s European R&D projects, managing development branches in Žilina, Manila (Philippines), and Montevideo (Uruguay), as well as the R&D Center of Excellence.

Psychologist and researcher at the Institute of Experimental Psychology, CSPV SAV, v.v.i. Her work focuses on understanding why people fall for pseudoscientific, conspiratorial, and other unfounded beliefs, particularly in the health domain. She also studies scientific literacy as a protective factor against various forms of misinformation.

Hana is a Rubyist by heart and a software engineer at GitHub. After finishing her PhD in judgement and decision-making psychology, she became increasingly interested in coding. She shifted her professional orientation towards programming. Hana fell in love with Ruby and shares her passion by teaching at Ruby Monstas Zürich and Rails Girls.

I am a developer with over 20 years of experience in control and mission-critical systems. Our company develops and deploys industrial control systems for businesses and the energy sector in Slovakia and abroad. These solutions must operate 24/7 without downtime and often involve critical infrastructure systems. In my presentation, I will discuss key aspects of designing and building such systems.

I am the founder of Codebridge College, an educational platform that helps programmers expand their skills in data analytics and artificial intelligence. We combine practical experience in Python with data-driven thinking and modern AI tools, enabling developers who may have missed “data intuition” or statistics at university to become active members of the data science and machine learning community.

I studied Information Systems at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies at STU, where I focused on artificial intelligence research and its applications across various scientific fields. After graduating, I specialized in applying AI to biotechnology and biometric projects.

In 2022, I joined Powerful Medical, where I was responsible for training, deploying, and maintaining AI models in the cloud. Since 2023, I have been leading an AI team focused on developing and clinically validating certified AI solutions, with a particular focus on cardiology—specifically the digitization and diagnosis of ECG recordings. Under my leadership, the team collaborates closely with physicians to create solutions that directly address the needs of clinical practice, particularly in acute cardiac care.

I frequently lecture at conferences across the country and at universities, and I thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge. I am also employed at Seznam in a versatile role. Last year, I published my second book on JavaScript.

Milan has been working as a developer and architect at KROS since 2007. He started as a desktop developer and, in recent years, has focused primarily on web and cloud development. He writes a blog about .NET development and co-organizes the KROS Dev Meetup.

Ivan Cimrák specializes in applied informatics in biomedicine, focusing on modeling circulating cancer cells in microchannels and using artificial intelligence in mammography and histopathology. His work, first at Ghent University in Belgium, then at St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences in Austria, and since 2011 at the University of Žilina, was recognized by the ESET Science Award, where he was selected as one of four finalists in the Outstanding Personality in Higher Education category. He believes that world-class research can be conducted in Slovakia.

I work in cybersecurity, specializing in penetration testing (ethical hacking). I am passionate about raising public awareness of penetration testing and cybersecurity, and helping organizations and individuals better understand and improve their security posture.

Marek Panti works as an Angular developer at Multitude. In addition to his work, he is also interested in the JavaScript ecosystem and writes a blog about it. He focuses on UI components, architecture, and how JavaScript works in browsers.

Ivan Macalák focuses on software system architecture, with a particular emphasis on cloud solutions. He shares his extensive domestic and international experience as a lecturer and mentor in Java technologies, domain analysis, and software architecture.

Peter has primarily been working in data science and data engineering with Python for several years. Among other things, his research focuses on the behavior and effective use of data in computer networks, which is part of his dissertation. He developed his presentation skills while teaching at university and speaking at international conferences.

Peter Miľovčík is a Senior Key Expert at Siemens Healthineers, focusing on improving efficiency in software testing with an emphasis on innovation. He applies strategic thinking, continuous learning, and creativity to connect different contexts and generate new ideas.

Having wandered reluctantly into IT about 30 years ago, my first contact with formal testing came unexpectedly in 2002, when I was made the Test Manager on a project. It was then that I felt that I had found my true calling.

I became the go-to person they called when there was a “problem in testing”. But after a few years of fire-fighting troubled projects, I began to wonder if there wasn’t a better way. This first led me first to start a testing company 11 years ago and eventually sparked my current fascination with quality engineering and self-organization.

For the past 14 years, my career has been focused on application development, primarily in Java using the Spring framework. I specialize in architecture design, cloud solutions, Kubernetes, infrastructure, and DevOps.

I joined Seznam in 2013 as a programmer for Mapy.cz, working on projects such as Panorama and expanding maps to cover the entire world, including the associated data imports. Later, I took on the management of the development team and now oversee development and research for one of Seznam’s divisions.

Zuzana “Zuzi” Šochová works as an Agile coach, Agile methods trainer, and Certified Scrum Trainer with over 20 years of experience in the IT field. She first became acquainted with Agile and Scrum in 2005 when she participated in the implementation of Agile methods in the United States. Since then, she has led Agile and Scrum transformations in many companies and teams around the world. She believes that with strong Agile leadership, companies can create a more satisfying environment and achieve success.
She founded the Agile Association and organizes the annual Agile Prague conference.
She is the author of The Great Scrum Master: #ScrumMasterWay (Addison-Wesley Signature Series (Cohn)) and The Agile Leader (Addison-Wesley, 2020), published in the US. She is also the author of the #ScrumMasterWay concept and co-author of the book Agile Project Management Methods (Computer Press, Czech Republic).

I am a programmer with experience across multiple domains—from C in telecommunications, through Java backends, to cloud infrastructure. Currently, I am focused on AI agents and their orchestration.

I have been involved in state IT for over 10 years and am well-known within the Slovak IT community. I organized the Rubyslava meetup for many years, have taught at FIIT, and enjoy presenting and sharing knowledge with others.

I have been working in the banking sector since 2016, holding various IT roles. At Slovenská sporiteľňa, I contributed to the development of a test automation platform and am also the creator of the RPA platform. Today, I lead the Automation and DevOps team, overseeing all automation-related activities. Our motto is: "Automation as a Service."

I am an Enterprise Architect, DevOps engineer, tech enthusiast, father of two, and—believe it or not—also work in Sales. I have implemented Keycloak more than 10 times across various institutions and have followed its development since the early versions. Along the way, I’ve had my share of debates with security departments when implementing Keycloak or container solutions. I am also a certified RedHat enthusiast.

I have been immersed in cloud computing and DevOps for over 10 years. I am the co-founder of Plectrum Engineering, where I also work as a multi-cloud architect. I enjoy sharing my extensive experience from small to multinational projects and actively contribute to educating future IT professionals at the University of Žilina.

Peter Kráčik is a Solution Architect at Parkside Interactive. Over 15+ years in web and web application development, he has progressed from Frontend to Backend, DevOps, and now Cloud architecture.

As DevOps Lead, he and his team focus on improving processes and infrastructure both internally and for clients. He also applies his experience and technical expertise in his role as a Tech Consultant.

I am a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with 12 years of experience. I am passionate about Rust, software security, and IoT. I am excited to share my vision of a better future with CODECON participants.

Vlastimil Kocián graduated in Information and Control Systems from the Faculty of Management and Informatics at the University of Žilina. He began his career as a developer at KROS, later moving into management, and has since been involved in innovative projects in construction and online applications. Since 2013, he has served on the presidium of the Žilina IT cluster ZAIT. In 2021, he became the first Director of the INOVIA Innovation Center in Žilina, overseeing development programs for companies and startups. He is also a member of the international networks Red Button and Ynovate. Vlastimil believes the future of the Žilina region and Slovakia lies in nurturing young talent and integrating innovations into everyday business and local government.

Gabriel Bagita is a cybersecurity professional with over 20 years of experience. He holds a degree in Information Systems and numerous certifications, including CISM. At Raiffeisen Processing Centre, he is responsible for HSM management, project support, application security, security monitoring, and incident response.

I am a programmer with over 20 years of experience developing software for railway signaling systems.

I first encountered cloud technologies nine years ago, toward the end of my university studies. Since then, I have worked on a variety of projects as a DevOps, Cloud, and Platform Engineer. Currently, I focus on the fascinating world of Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies at Labyrinth Labs, and I enjoy sharing my experience at conferences and meetups.

William Brach is a PhD student at FIIT STU in Bratislava, focusing on information retrieval a NLP. He is also the co-founder of the AI startup sommifyAI, which allows him to approach projects from both academic and commercial perspectives. He actively contributes to open-source projects such as stanfordnlp/dspy and is always eager to take on new challenges.

As a Senior Solution Architect at Red Hat, I work with customers and partners to implement open source technologies that deliver real value to their organizations. I have also gained international experience, which I am now excited to share in Slovakia. My background spans application development, including integrations, cloud-native approaches, business process management, and tools that enhance developer productivity.

I am a physicist at heart, a mathematician by education, a programmer by profession, and an AI expert with all my heart and soul. I currently work as a Software Architect at Siemens Healthineers, with eight years of experience in AI development for medicine. My scientific approach allows me to combine domain knowledge with technical expertise, transforming AI black-box models into intuitive, practical assistants.

Oliver Kriška has over 20 years of experience in web development. He has progressed from creating simple websites and e-shops to developing complex systems and taking on technological and managerial roles in international companies. He focuses on team leadership, management, and process optimization in software development, while implementing advanced techniques and optimizing online platforms for high performance and scalability.

Architect for a cloud platform of SaaS solutions in Kistler, drawing on years of hands-on software development experience. I focus on microservices in the IoT space, while also diving into DevOps and cybersecurity. I enjoy tackling challenges that push me to grow and sharing what I’ve learned — because, in the end, the best answer is often just "it depends".

Formerly a scientist, environmentalist, university lecturer, and NGO director, he is currently a programmer, team leader, manager, and soft skills trainer. Among other things, he was the leader of the IT Project of the Year 2023. In the technical field, he has more than 19 years of experience with web application technologies, currently focusing mainly on React, Node.js, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, MongoDB, Redis, Socket.IO, and others.

I have been professionally involved in software development for over 17 years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work on exciting projects with talented people and learn a great deal along the way. I am now happy to share these experiences at meetups, conferences, and on my blog.

He strives to combine different perspectives to find the most effective solutions for various challenges. In addition to leading his team, he has long been involved in mentoring and developing junior colleagues, sharing both positive and negative experiences. He frequently leads tech talks on topics such as .NET, JavaScript frameworks, algorithms, and mathematical methods. In Prague, he founded an informal group for senior developers focused on continuous improvement, meeting roughly once a month. At CODECON Žilina 2023, he announced plans to write a book on effective programming through mathematical thinking, expected to be completed in 2025.

Tomáš Jurásek is passionate about designing and developing distributed systems in the .NET ecosystem. He helps companies design and modernize complex domains, focusing on efficiency and reliable operation through a pragmatic approach.

I am an Open Source enthusiast who enjoys exploring new tools and approaches, preferably with open-source code, and sharing these ideas with others.

My career began as an operations engineer, which naturally led me to automation. I enjoy solving problems using Golang, Python, and Ansible, and for the past 10 years, I have helped companies adopt containerization and automation.

In recent years, as a Solution Architect, I have been evangelizing new technologies and approaches to select Red Hat customers.

I am an experienced service designer with five years of experience improving the services of the city of Bratislava. I graduated from Matfyz and currently lead the programming side of the innovation team, implementing design thinking principles across the city council with a strong focus on user needs and customer experience.

I am a Senior Research Fellow at GLOBSEC. Since 2016, I have conducted research at the Center for Democracy and Resilience. I am the author of numerous analyses on hybrid threats, the impact of information operations and social media on democratic societies, and strategic communications. Previously, I have worked for Transparency International Slovakia and the European Commission.

I am a software developer with over 18 years of experience, working on projects across the aviation, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries. My experience spans frontend, backend, and DevOps, and I currently focus primarily on cloud architecture.

As an endurance athlete (4× Ironman, 3× ultramarathon, 9× half-Ironman), I explore how discipline, planning, and pushing personal limits can be applied to software development and everyday professional life.

Patrik Plachý began his career as a developer in C, later expanding to C++, Pascal, and Python. He then worked on developing modules for Oracle Database and designing backend code, helping customers design and deploy enterprise systems. In recent years, he has focused on Linux, Clusterware, and High Availability. He is currently a Senior Solution Architect at Red Hat, specializing in container operations and deployment for customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Fabi is a Senior Analytics Engineer based in Barcelona, originally from Ecuador with stops in the US and Europe along the way. Curious by nature and multilingual (including coding languages ), she spends her days building data solutions and bridging engineers with business so everyone has space to be heard.

She’s also passionate about education and teaches tech skills to SMEs, helping them adapt to the digital era. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her doing CrossFit, upside down in a yoga handstand, or exploring coffee shops around the city.

Ľuboš works at InterWay as a Product Director, focusing primarily on the development of the WebJET CMS content management system. The system has been evolving for nearly a quarter of a century, yet there is always room for improvement.

I am an SEO consultant at my own agency, MADE It Digital s.r.o. With nearly 20 years of hands-on experience (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP, graphics, social media, PPC — but primarily SEO), I bring a broad, practical perspective to digital projects.
As a former programmer, I strive to understand developers; as an e-shop owner, I understand clients; and as a consultant, I aim to understand my colleagues. It’s often challenging — but I truly enjoy it.

My primary focus, interest, and professional challenge lie in software system architecture, with a strong emphasis on cloud solutions. I have been working in IT for nine years, starting as a developer and gradually transitioning to DevOps and Cloud over four years ago. I currently work as a Platform Engineer at Plectrum Engineering and contribute to several smaller projects. I enjoy sharing my real-world experiences so that others can avoid the mistakes I’ve made.

I am the CEO of AMCEF, a company that, after delivering around 280 projects, grew tired of developing custom software the traditional way. That’s why we created the Modulario platform, which now enables us to deliver fully customized systems to clients in a fraction of the time compared to conventional coding.

I am a Product Owner and team leader with a strong background in development. My journey began with building robust internet banking systems, transitioned into the dynamic world of fintech startups, and has now led me to Industry 4.0 at Kistler, where I specialize in optimizing industrial processes.

Although Zuzana entered testing by chance, she was quickly captivated by the dynamic field of IT testing. Over 15 years, she has progressed from tester to test lead to QA developer. During this time, she has worked on various automated testing solutions, including designing test scenarios, architecting automated tests, deploying them, and ensuring sustainable development. In recent years, her focus has been on API testing.

I am a publicist and expert in online communication. I led online communication for the Ministry of Health during the coronavirus pandemic, worked as part of President Zuzana Čaputová’s team, and previously worked in advertising. I am the recipient of a Journalism Award for a series of blog posts. I have long focused on disinformation and the functioning of social networks.

I studied at the Faculty of Management at Comenius University in Bratislava and later studied philosophy, political science, and economics at the University of York in the United Kingdom.

I am a host, journalist, and podcast creator, best known for the technology podcast Link. I worked at the daily newspaper SME for 10 years, where I contributed to the digital subscription strategy, launched newsletters, and helped introduce podcasts. I co-founded skpodcasty, the largest database of Slovak podcasts, and I am also involved in organizing the Podcast of the Year awards.
In addition, I help media organizations around the world with digital strategy and create content at FatChilli for Publishers.

I speak at conferences on AI and combating online hate speech, and I am a member of together.eu as well as an ambassador for EDYN. Tomáš Ivan has been developing mobile applications for nearly 10 years, working on Windows Phone, Android, and iOS apps. In recent years, he has specialized in Flutter development. Beyond programming, he is also involved in training young developers, both internal employees and students through lectures in cooperation with FRI UNIZA.

I am a full-stack developer and startup founder who loves transforming ideas and chaos into real projects. I have helped launch eureka.club, solved.fi, and vectary.com — projects that evolved from initial ideas to fully functional products (and sometimes from bugs to production).

Since 2022, I have been working at SOFTEC, focusing on DevOps and Cloud.
